Crohns disease and how to lose weight?
To lose weight you want to take in less calories and burn more calories. It is good to eat: chicken, fish, eggs, lean cuts of protein. It should be baked or broiled or boiled. Bananas and cooked veggies are good too. Avoid: Alcohol (it is just empty calories and has no nutrients), avoid fried, greasy, fatty foods, avoid sweets and processed foods. Some prescriptions, like Prednisone can cause fluid retention and electrolyte imbalance and make people with Crohn's swell up and look fat, but it is just water weight from the fluid retention. You can look up your medications online for their side effects or ask your pharmacist for a print out. As far as exercise, it is good your are doing just gentle exercise, walking, riding a stationary bike, stretching, yoga, pilates and tai chi are all good, non-stressful activities. At a href="http://www.aloeelite.com/content/health-wellness" rel="nofollow"http://www.aloeelite.com/content/health-…/a in their health and wellness section they have information about diet and exercise specifically for people with Crohn's Disease. My friend has Crohns and Ulcerative colitis and was sick for years with diarrhea, bleeding, cramping and fatigue, she was so bad that the doctors wanted to do surgery, she would cry all the time from the pain. She now takes a natural product, AloeElite and is 100% symptom free, and has been for years. She follows their diet and stress reduction recommendations. She is off all her medication and avoided intestinal surgery. At www.aloeelite.com they have so much information about Ulcerative colitis, diet tips, stress management techniques, and they will also mail information and a sample of their product for free. Good luck!
