Hand reared atiel breeding?

i have a hand reared male atiel Stanley he is about 6yo. I noticed he seemed lonley so i got him a lady friend (Rosie) the pet shop said they would have no compatibility issues but he attacks her if she goes near him. Then i noticed Rosie would go onto the bottom of the cage squat and raise her wings abit then make chirping noises. I ume this is her ready to mate only problem is Stan has no idea whats going on he just sits there and watches then goes to sleep. Now he has started copying the behaviour. Will he get it or is he just to tame?
