Distinguish between a genotype and a phenotype?

Ok, I just learned this in science so I know what I am talking about (lol). A phenotype is the looks of something. think: PHotograph and PHenotype. genotype is the genes. ex: if you cross breed Bb(hybrid brown eyes) to bb (purebred blue eyes) the offspring could be: Bb, bb, bb, and bb. the genotype would be: 1:3 Brown:blue and the phenotype would be: one brown eyed child and 3 blue eyed children
